The Society
Our vision is that the St. Louis Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society will be the preeminent organization for Rhythm and Blues performances, educational, and preservation activities in St. Louis. The Society will increase the community’s knowledge and appreciation of the role of the St. Louis community in the advancement of this unique musical style.
The Society will fulfill its vision by:
- establishing a performing venue for local nationally-known rhythm and blues artists
- developing programs to educate individuals–young and old–about rhythm and blues music
- developing a museum to archive and document the history of rhythm and blues and the influence of St. Louis as a locus for the musical form
About Us
The St. Louis Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society is registered corporation in Missouri. The Society is awaiting the IRS 501(c)(3) designation.
